Concrete Foundation

Since Kefalonia is an area which is facing earthquakes on a relatively regular base the foundation of a house is build in a special way and it is quite massive. In November 2018 all the prework has been done for this

In December 2018 the concrete for the foundation has been delivered and marked a first exciting step that the Villa took shape.

The foundation is build in a kind of a honeycomb way to make the building earthquake proof. After combs have been created they are being filled up and then covered with anyother layer of concrete.

This process was finished by end of February 2019. The concrete needs a proper period to dry and harden out, before the next steps could be taken.
